What's the craic with Arbeloa's injury?

If fit, keep the same formation for me with him coming in for Cresswell.

Adrian
Kouyate Reid Ogbonna
Antonio Obiang Noble Arbeloa
Lanzini Zaza Payet

Read in a couple of places today that Ayew might make the squad. Great news if he does but guess he would start on bench if true.

If we wont go with the youth, where else can we go? Experience is the key.

I doubt he'd get 6 in this one, stomper.

In fact, I think Zaza is more likely to get one than Hurst get six on his comeback

Obviously we need a quick goal to settle the nerves and get Sunderland's head to drop ...

Reckon they will park the bus for this one and be difficult to breakdown, will look to hit us on the break, long ball over the top to the midget.

We don't look like scoring with Zaza so this looks like a 0-0.

I would play Antonio as striker, but Bilics comments suggest otherwise.

I'm amazed so many of you are advocating a back four with Ogbonna at LB - he is fucking gash in that position.

Re: Team v Sunderland
I still think we're in a relegation struggle and if we just draw this game, we have difficult run into the middle of december which could easily see us bottom 3 at xmas.

Last week was a great performance, but how many of our relegation battles have looked like this where we are brilliant once every 8 matches or so and shit the rest of the time. until we well and truly get some form going, I'm not counting on any thumpings. even last season, as great as it was, we didn't give too many bottom-half teams a tonking

Re: Team v Sunderland
Well from what I heard about Feghouli he's a hard working type prepared to track back, so in that basis not much different to Antonio on the right. Plus to get the best of Payet we need the player in the overlap.

Given also it's Sunderland and we should be getting after them I'd go Feghouli over Arbeloa.

Re: Team v Sunderland
Giving Sunderland a hammering would be nice, not so much as to nail them to the bottom of the table, but to give our confidence a boost.

If we can get our form back, I don't think we'll need to worry about relegation, or concern ourselves about where Sunderland finish.

If...

Ogbonna's looked low on confidence lately - Hope he can snap out of it and grow a pair.

Would love to see both Ox and Fletch get some minutes but doubt this is the game for that. Desperate for 3 this weekend with this lot coming soon...

Re: Team v Sunderland
As much as I liked the system against Palace, I don't see either l Ogbonna or Arbeloa (if fit) as wing backs, and sticking Feghouli or Fernandes there seems like a big gamble. So for me it has to be a 4 at the back because that's what fits the available personnel. Still, as little disruption to the lineup if not the formation seems sensible. Thus...

FMOB - You've spent years boring everyone to death about not being solid enough in midfield, and you want a team like that?
